Nothing of the Mind is Worth It
If there is a point of the mind that I am facing that I resist giving up, I always have to ask myself: "Is it worth it? Is this point worth allowing the mind and so allowing abuse to continue in this world?", and the answer is "No". Nothing of the mind is worth the abuse that it manifests and supports and allows to exist in this world, not one bit. None of it is worth more than life, and the life and safety of a child or an animal, for example. No amount of specialness or uniqueness as ego, or self-interest, or "happiness", or anything of the mind, is worth it if it allows for abuse of any kind. The life of an animal or a child is far more important than my ego or self-interest or desires in all ways. This is the understanding upon which I let go of points of the mind in which I can find myself very stubborn with in the sense that I want to cling onto it. It is just not worth it. So from there I move. I find that this simplifies everything very much.
